Plastic jerry cans have become increasingly popular over recent years. One reason could be that they have a significant advantage over metal jerry cans, in that they are considerably lighter and will never rust.
H & O jerry cans and bottles are blow moulded from high molecular weight HD. They are available in a wide range of sizes.
The larger containers are fitted with a 61mm screw cap and are manufactured from polypropylene.
We normally supply our plastic jerry cans in the natural colour. We are also happy to provide them in blue and black if required. Using different coloured cans is a good way to identify what is in each can. This helps prevent mixing fuels and also mixing water with fuel inadvertently.
We manufacture the jerry cans with the handle is an integral part of the moulded container and can supply them in varying packs, as the pack numbers will vary with the size of the containers.
The plastic bottles can be stacked and we can supply both UN and non UN.
ABOUT JERRY CANS
These robust fuel containers originally made from pressed steel. They were first designed in Germany in the 1930s for military use to hold 20 litres of fuel. This was a huge improvement on earlier designs, which required tools and funnels to use.
Today they are used as both fuel and water containers. The modern design is very similar to the original steel design. They are also know as "jerry jugs".
